Connect APVISO with ClickUp

Project Management

Create ClickUp tasks from APVISO pentest findings automatically. Track vulnerability remediation with priority mapping and status sync.

Why connect APVISO with ClickUp?

Automatic Task Creation

Every APVISO finding becomes a ClickUp task with full vulnerability details, reproduction steps, and remediation guidance — no manual ticket creation needed.

Priority Mapping

Map APVISO severity levels to ClickUp priority flags so Critical findings become Urgent tasks and your existing triage workflows apply.

Status Sync for Retest Automation

When a ClickUp task is marked complete, APVISO can automatically schedule a retest to verify the fix, closing the remediation loop.

Setup Guide

1

Generate a ClickUp API Token

In your ClickUp settings, generate a personal API token or create an app integration. APVISO uses this to create and update tasks in your workspace.

2

Configure in APVISO

Enter your ClickUp API token in Settings > Integrations > ClickUp. Select the default space, folder, and list for new finding tasks.

3

Map Severity to Priority

Configure how APVISO severity levels map to ClickUp priority flags. Optionally set up routing rules to direct findings to different lists based on type.

Features

  • Auto-create ClickUp tasks from vulnerability findings
  • Map APVISO severity to ClickUp priority levels
  • Attach evidence and scan details to tasks
  • Bi-directional status sync with retest triggers
  • Route findings to different spaces or lists based on rules

How APVISO Integrates with ClickUp

APVISO's ClickUp integration turns penetration testing findings into actionable ClickUp tasks. For teams that manage their development workflow in ClickUp, this integration ensures vulnerability remediation fits naturally into existing sprint planning and task management processes.

Automatic Task Creation

When APVISO's AI agents discover a vulnerability, the integration creates a ClickUp task in your configured space and list. The task includes the vulnerability title as the task name, a detailed description with reproduction steps, the severity rating mapped to a ClickUp priority flag, and tags for the vulnerability category. Evidence such as HTTP request/response pairs and screenshots are attached to the task.

This automation eliminates the manual step of translating security findings into development tasks. Developers receive tasks with all the context they need to understand and fix the vulnerability.

Priority and Severity Mapping

APVISO maps its severity ratings to ClickUp's priority system. A typical mapping sets Critical findings to Urgent, High to High, Medium to Normal, and Low to Low priority. This mapping is fully customizable, and you can also configure custom fields to capture additional APVISO data like CVSS score, vulnerability category, and affected endpoint.

Routing and Organization

For larger teams, you can configure routing rules that direct findings to specific ClickUp spaces, folders, or lists based on the vulnerability type or affected target. Infrastructure misconfigurations go to the DevOps list, application vulnerabilities go to the development team's list, and authentication issues go to the identity team's list. This ensures findings reach the team best equipped to fix them.

Status Sync and Retest Automation

The integration supports bi-directional status synchronization. When a developer marks a ClickUp task as complete, APVISO detects the status change and can automatically queue a targeted retest for that specific vulnerability. If the retest confirms the fix, APVISO adds a verification comment. If the vulnerability persists, the task is reopened with updated evidence.

Deduplication

APVISO tracks findings across scans and links them to ClickUp tasks. If the same vulnerability appears in a subsequent scan, APVISO does not create a duplicate task. Instead, it adds a comment to the existing task noting the re-identification, ensuring your ClickUp workspace stays clean and organized.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I route findings to different ClickUp lists?

Yes. Configure routing rules based on vulnerability type, severity, or target domain. For example, XSS findings can go to your frontend team's list while infrastructure findings go to the DevOps list.

Does APVISO create duplicate tasks for the same finding?

No. APVISO fingerprints each finding and checks for existing open ClickUp tasks before creating a new one. If the same vulnerability is found again, APVISO adds a comment to the existing task.
